Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Process lab specimens and maintain inventory supplies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Ohio state license to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
