Responsibilities

  • Perform routine patient vitals (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration rate) and record data accurately.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain medical histories, and provide pre-procedure education.
  • Manage and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with basic laboratory tasks, including specimen collection (phlebotomy) and point-of-care testing.
  • Maintain a sterile, organized, and clean environment in exam rooms and waiting areas.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage daily schedules efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting is highly desirable.
