Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms to ensure a clean and sterile environment for patient visits.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by licensed healthcare professionals.
- Record and accurately document patient vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms.
- Coordinate and schedule diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and lab work.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (1-2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting patients or equipment.
