Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals, medical history, and recording weight and height.
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Manage patient records and ensure electronic health records (EHR) are updated accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and facilitate referrals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized examination room.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with electronic health records is a plus.
