Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect laboratory specimens
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
- Maintain sterile exam environments and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
- Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills
