Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Manage patient records accurately using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure smooth clinic operations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and basic laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BLS/CPR certification required (AHA preferred)
