Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate medical history.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure strict sterilization protocols.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Assist with basic laboratory duties, specimen collection, and filing medical records.
- Provide patient education on medications and post-procedure care instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred but willing to train highly motivated candidates.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
