Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to exam rooms for check-in.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and update patient charts accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirm appointments, and handle incoming calls professionally.
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks and specimen collection as directed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) is preferred but not always required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
