Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical and psychosocial conditions, and document findings in patient records.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing procedures and protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, charts, and reports as required by facility policy and state regulations.
- Education: Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records (EMR) systems proficiently.
- Adaptability: Willingness to float to various units and adapt to flexible scheduling demands.
