Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, including reviewing medical history and updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring data integrity.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to facilitate high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
