Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer them safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certification as a State-Approved CNA in Oklahoma (valid license required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
