Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage patient flow and maintain examination rooms
- Update electronic health records accurately
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education
- Coordinate with nursing staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree
- Current CPR certification
- Illinois Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun shifts)
