Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital signs, and EKGs
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor procedures, and specimen collection
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree
- Current Michigan Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Availability to work all weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
