Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration monitoring.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and explaining procedures.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.
- Maintain a clean and organized exam room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff regarding test results and follow-up care.
- Handle prescription refills and coordinate specialist referrals.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy.
- CPR and First Aid certification (BLS required).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.) is a plus.
