Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient intakes, accurately measuring vitals, weight, and recording medical history.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer injections as directed by the provider.
  • Manage front desk duties, including patient check-in/check-out and insurance verification.
  • Document patient encounters into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association must be current.
