Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurements and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during procedures and examinations with precise instrument handling and specimen collection
- Administer medications and injections following strict protocols and safety standards
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient education materials and discharge instructions
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and exam room equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and quality care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be available for consistent weekend shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
