Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab procedures
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and triage during night shifts
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Tennessee state license (if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in medical setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Flexibility to cover varying shift schedules
