Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage patient flow, room preparation, and sterile instrument processing
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Arizona MA certification or eligibility
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
