Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain examination rooms
- Handle specimen collection and laboratory processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Verify insurance coverage and process billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes
- Background check and drug screening required
