Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and preliminary assessments
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Process lab specimens and perform basic point-of-care testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with billing and insurance specialists
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license (for mobile clinics)
- Spanish fluency a plus
