Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient data accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN License to practice in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (Med-Surg preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
