Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, blood draws (phlebotomy), and EKGs on patients of all ages.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and immunizations according to strict protocols.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, sanitized, and organized for optimal patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff regarding test results and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required; CNA or LPN license accepted.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, with strong phlebotomy and EKG skills.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric mindset.
- Must be available to work rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday shifts.
