Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure strict confidentiality.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict sanitation protocols.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide education on health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records (EHR).
