Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Accurately obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and document patient history for provider review.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, administer injections as directed, and prepare treatment rooms.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/out, verify insurance eligibility, and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols during all patient interactions.
- Weekend Rounds: Cover weekend procedures and patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and Friday rotation).
- Experience: Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record software.
