Your Role:

As a Weekend Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and service during off-peak hours. You will assist providers, manage patient flow, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a professional and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and basic point-of-care testing accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies.

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly adhering to safety regulations.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and ensure proper discharge instructions are provided.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA certification preferred).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required by the first day of employment.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred, with specific weekend availability a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
