Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify information, and prepare them for examination by the provider.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Procedures: Assist providers with minor procedures, wound care, and injections as directed.
- Lab Work: Collect blood samples and other specimens for lab analysis using proper phlebotomy techniques.
- Administrative: Manage patient charts, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols strictly.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health record systems and strong interpersonal communication skills.
