As a Medical Assistant on the weekend team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive top-tier care when they need it most. If you are detail-oriented, empathetic, and passionate about medicine, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical visits.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and demographic updates.
- Assist with minor medical procedures, injections, and phlebotomy as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate with pharmacy services and manage prescription refills.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
