Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection during weekend on-site shifts
- Manage remote patient scheduling, insurance verification, and electronic health record maintenance
- Assist providers with telehealth consultations and remote patient monitoring
- Coordinate weekend patient flow and ensure seamless communication between departments
- Administer medications and treatments under provider supervision
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance for all remote and in-person interactions
- Participate in weekend emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred) and telehealth platforms
- Strong remote work capabilities with reliable high-speed internet
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for hybrid patient interactions
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Spanish bilingual certification highly desirable
