Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify personal and insurance information upon arrival.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for provider visits.
- Assist providers during patient examinations, including taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and assist with minor medical procedures.
- Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
