Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and injections under physician supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure clean, sterile examination environments
- Handle lab specimen processing and basic laboratory testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Pennsylvania MA license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Weekend availability essential (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm)
- Phlebotomy and ECG certification a strong plus
