Responsibilities
- Assist providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and manage appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Flexibility to work weekends with potential weekday availability
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to multitask in dynamic clinical environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
