Responsibilities
- Perform patient check-in, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including drawing blood and administering injections as directed.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Process lab specimens and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently during weekend coverage.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
