Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and clinical information in EHR systems
- Perform vital signs, injections, EKGs, and phlebotomy as directed
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Washington State Medical Assistant certification (or eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
