Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized
- Coordinate with insurance providers for billing documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Meditech, or equivalent)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
