Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with physicians and nurses in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and updating charts.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed by physicians.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed nurse or provider.
- Manage patient flow in the clinic to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency.
- Handle billing and insurance verification tasks accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
