Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests with precision and care.
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently to ensure a smooth clinic flow.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for provider visits.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with procedures and patient education.
- Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients of all backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
