Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and perform phlebotomy services
- Accurately update electronic health records (EHR) and maintain patient confidentiality
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized examination rooms
- Conduct basic lab tests and process specimens for analysis
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Valid North Carolina healthcare provider license
