Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by assisting with gowns, drapes, and positioning.
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and EKGs, as directed by providers.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Manage patient flow, including greeting patients, checking them in, and updating medical records in the EMR system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary examination room environment.
  • Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NHMA) required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
