Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and documentation
- Assist providers with clinical procedures (injections, ECGs, wound care)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient files
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and sterile clinic environment
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA)
- 1+ years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts (days/evenings/weekends)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Illinois state license (if applicable)
