Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, on all patients.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate charts.
- Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming demeanor, managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Provide patient education regarding treatments, medications, and preventative care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Valid state licensure and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
