Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations per physician orders
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Ensure sterile equipment and exam rooms comply with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- State certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
