Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake assessments and vital measurements
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and examinations
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate telemedicine appointments for remote patients
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Handle lab specimens and point-of-care testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- New York State medical assistant license
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional telemedicine communication skills
- Ability to work independently in remote settings
