Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Administer injections and medications per physician orders
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient charts
- Sterilize equipment and prepare examination rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate referrals and scheduling with specialists
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree (CMA preferred)
- Active Michigan Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Michigan driver's license
