Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history recording accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians.
- Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate lab tests and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized for patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Washington DC Medical Assistant license in good standing.
