Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and neurological status continuously, reporting any significant changes to the attending physician immediately.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and timely medical records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Provide clear education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-care instructions.
- Uphold hospital policies regarding infection control, patient confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred; new graduates welcome with strong clinical rotations.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required by the job duties.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
