Responsibilities
- Review and code medical claims using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Submit claims to insurance providers and government payers
- Follow up on claim denials and appeals with insurance companies
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
