Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Follow up on denied/underpaid claims with appeals and corrections
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document accurate charge capture
- Generate monthly reports for financial performance analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Deep knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume claim submissions efficiently
