- Submit and track insurance claims for optimal reimbursement
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits pre-service
- Resolve billing discrepancies through effective payer communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Train staff on updated billing procedures and coding guidelines
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or CPC credential required
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient settings
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Proven ability to reduce claim denial rates below 5%
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
