Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on denied/overdue claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies through effective payer and provider communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure complete documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or similar EHR/billing systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Experience with commercial and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
