Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments according to procedure protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques throughout surgical cases
- Manage surgical inventory, restock supplies, and process instruments for sterilization
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and OSHA compliance standards
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and on-call
